Philadelphia native Mike Walsh is a producer, screenwriter, and member of the Producers Guild of America whose career in film spans more than 25 years. Walsh began in screenwriting and development, writing and optioning original screenplays and treatments to production companies while establishing himself as a storyteller drawn to true stories, complex characters, and material with a strong emotional hook. His early work earned national recognition with a win in the Fade In Magazine National Screenwriting Competition.
Walsh later expanded from writing and development into producing, building a body of work across drama, horror, thriller, western, family, faith-based, documentary, and music. His producing credits include the award-winning theatrical horror/thriller The Retaliators, the dark western The Redeemer, The Plantation, Cross, documentary Mercy at the Gates, Sno Babies, 7th Secret, Finding Christmas, Womb, as well Executive Producer on Timber Lands. His work as a producer has received festival recognition including honors at the Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival and Orlando Film Festival.
As a writer, Walsh co-wrote the award-winning Right Before Your Eyes and wrote the documentary feature Lucky Jack, as well as Sno Babies, 7th Secret, Finding Christmas, and Womb. His screenwriting has also been recognized by the Queen Palm International Film Festival.
Walsh’s work extends beyond feature film into music and short-form production. He produced The HU’s “Wolf Totem,” featuring Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, which has reached tens of millions of viewers worldwide.
